Use a stable anchor point (door anchor rated for it, heavy-duty setup, or a secure station). Stability matters more as resistance increases. Highly recommend the full door anchor while using heavy bands, and the heavy duty door anchor is a must have with using these bands.

Are these heavy resistance bands too much for beginners?

Maybe. Start with Light or Medium bands to find your baseline. Variable resistance feels different than dumbbells or machines.
