Safety Guidelines

  • XBAR Fitness Safety & Success Guidelines

We want you to get the most out of every workout with your XBAR — safely, effectively, and with confidence.  Remember to always consult your physician before starting any workout routine. Take a moment to review these tips before you begin:

    Smart Training Habits

    • Check in with your body first: If you’re starting a new program or have health concerns, consult your physician.
    • Warm up, then work up: Stretch, loosen up, and ease into your training.  Progress gradually, as strength builds with consistency.
    • Respect the bands: Resistance bands are powerful tools.  Don’t over-stretch them and stop before they reach their max length.

    Safe XBAR Practices

    • Use your XBAR only for its intended exercises.
    • Always keep firm footing over the bands so they can’t slip loose.
    • For bar-behind-the-head moves (like squats), rest the bar on your shoulders; never your neck.
    • When using the door anchor, ensure the door is closed securely and locked.
    • Don’t wrap bands around body parts where circulation could be cut off.

    Awareness & Care

    • Never look directly at a stretched band — in the rare event of a snap, you’ll want to protect your face and eyes.
    • Inspect bands, clips, and swivels before every session to make sure everything is secure.
    • Store your XBAR and bands safely out of reach of children.

    Legal & Safety Disclaimer

    • The XBAR and resistance bands should not be used by children under 12.
    • Resistance bands can pose risks including snapping, choking, or injury if used improperly.
    • Bands contain latex — avoid use if you have a latex allergy.
    • Do not allow others to use your XBAR unless they’ve reviewed these safety guidelines.
    • Use of the XBAR system is at your own risk.  XBAR Fitness is not liable for injuries resulting from misuse, improper setup, or failure to follow these safety instructions.
